Henrietta Taylor (Bowman) Blevins, age 100, of Nashville and formerly of Seminole, FL, passed away Wednesday, March 13, 2019. She was born February 19, 1919 to Hubert William Bowman and Frances Wilson Bowman.
She grew up and lived in Knoxville, TN and was married to Grover C. Blevins for over 50 years. They were long-standing members of the Lincoln Park Baptist Church in Knoxville. She was employed at JC Penney and later managed and operated Blevins Community Market. After retirement she and her husband moved to Seminole Garden Apartments in Seminole, FL. She was a past Secretary of the Seminole Garden Ladies Club. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, traveling, playing bingo. She loved dressing up and going to parties.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers: Jack Bowman, Hubert Bowman, Jr., sisters: Anita Kelly, Imogene Brown.
She is survived by her son, Randy L. Blevins and wife, Carla Blevins, brother in law William Brown of Powell, TN, several nieces and nephews.
She was loved by all who met her for her happy and funny personality. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
She will be resting beside her husband at Florida National Cemetery with graveside service March 18, 2019 at 2:00 p.m.
