James D. Stricker (Jim), age 79, an Insurance Broker and long-time resident of Dunedin, FL died peacefully and of natural causes on Sunday January 27, 2019. Jim is survived by his wife of 60 years; Beth E. Stricker (Dunedin, FL). His children; Kimberly Stricker (Dunedin, FL), James D. Stricker Jr. (Winchester, VA) Jay Stricker (Memphis, TN), and Jonathan Stricker (Palm Harbor FL). He had 6 grandchildren; Hannah Stricker, Mitchell Stricker, Cortland Stricker (all of Palm Harbor, FL), Quincy Stricker (Winchester, VA), Jack and Abby Stricker (both of South Windsor, CT).
Jim was born on February 1, 1939 to Fred and Rosella Stricker of Saginaw, MI.
Following high school in Saginaw, MI and as a United States Marine, Jim was stationed on the USS Antietam and the USS Tarawa. He was Honorably Discharged receiving a medal for Good Conduct in 1962. He was an avid fisherman, duck hunter, soccer coach, loving husband, devoted father, and grandfather. Jim loved college football and basketball closely following both; the University of Michigan Wolverines and the University of Florida Gators.
