Donald Frederick Nau, Jr. Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Donald Frederick Nau, Jr., 57, of Dunedin, died on January 8, 2018, after being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in November 2017. He and his family had made their home in Florida in 2015 after a three-year assignment in Germany. He was enjoying his retirement and living the dream. Donnie was born and raised in Cumberland, Maryland, by the late Donald and Charlotte (Duckworth) Nau. He graduated from Fort Hill High School in 1978 and then attended James Madison University, where he received a Bachelor's degree in Geography in 1982. He is a 1995 graduate of the United States Army War College. Don began his career in the U.S. Federal Government in 1983 as an imagery analyst at the National Photographic Interpretation Center (NPIC). Over the next 33 years, he served in four Intelligence Community agencies - DIA, CIA, DNI, and NGA. Donnie was a friend to all, a proud family man, and he lived life to the fullest. He was passionate about his beloved JMU Dukes and enjoyed golfing, traveling, and keeping in touch with his family and friends. Donnie is survived by his wife of 33 years, Libby; three children, Connor, Kennedy, and Tanner; brother Mike and sister-in-law Tammy; uncle Art and aunt Terry Duckworth; parents-in-law Cel and Maria Aguigui; sister-in-law Celine Childers; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. There will be celebrations of his life held in his honor by his family and friends.
