Dorthylee Walker

December 24, 1926 - June 25, 2017

Dorthylee "Dot" Walker, 90, graduated into eternal life on Sunday, June 25.  Born on Christmas Eve 1926 in Springfield, Illinois, she spent the last 57 years in Clearwater raising her family.  She is survived by her husband of 70 years, Robert R. Walker.  In addition, she leaves behind three children, Thomas Walker of Roseville, MI, Kenneth Walker (married to Diane) of Martinsburg, WV, and Lynne Gray (married to Tom) of Mission Viejo, CA, five grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, and one brother, Robert Degner of Buffalo Hart, Illinois. Dot spent approximately 40 years as a licensed, in-home Child Care Provider.  She was a life-long member of Epsilon Sigma Alpha Sorority.  She loved camping and their beloved pets.  She was an avid reader.  As a young woman she played piano, sang on the radio, and was involved in amateur theater. A Celebration of Life will be held at her home in Clearwater on Saturday, July 1 at 1:00 p.m.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Suncoast Hospice Foundation (Burgundy Team), 5771 Roosevelt Blvd., Clearwater, FL, 33760.
