Geraldine "Jerry" McQuinn

Geraldine (Jerry) McQuinn, 93, died August 23, 2014 in Clearwater, FL. She was born in Franklin, Indiana on September 15, 1920. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 42 years, Wayne McQuinn, who passed away in 1984. She is survived by her son, Larry McQuinn, daughter Judith Ann Austin, son-in-law Keith Austin and former daughter-in-law Nancy Sola. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren, Sean McQuinn, of Tampa, Scott McQuinn, a member of the US Navy, Shannon Streeter of Valrico, and Brandon Ferrer, of Watertown, MN as well as 12 great grandchildren.Jerry moved with her husband and small children from Franklin, IN to Tampa in 1951 and resided in south Tampa for over 40 years where she and her husband were active members of the First Christian Church of Tampa. In the 1980s Geraldine joined Bayshore Baptist Church and was very active there until relocating to a retirement community in Clearwater in 1991 where she joined the First Christian Church of Clearwater and has been a member there until her passing.A memorial service celebrating her life will be held on Thursday, August 28, at 2:00 PM at the First Christian Church of Clearwater, 2299 Drew St. The family will receive friends in the church fellowship hall immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to the First Christian Church of Clearwater.
