James D. Holsten
August 15, 1968 - September 8, 2016
With heavy hearts we say good-bye to the most beautiful soul that walked this earth. We were all so blessed to have called him either by husband, dad, bonus dad, Pop, brother or friend. Jim's health issues in life never stopped him from loving life and seeing the good in everyone. No matter what Jim was going through he put others first and made sure he could do everything possible to help people around him. He had a very fun and carefree attitude that resonated every time you saw him.For many years he spent countless hours as a father, a coach, and a cheer dad at the Countryside Jr Cougars field. There he built a never ending family with just about everyone. His smile lit up the field and the positive words of encouragement given to the boys and girls continue to live on. Words could never express how much he meant to the family and we know the very least can be said for the countless lives he has impacted. He leaves behind his wife Karen and 8 children: Kristen Gericke, Chris Heinzelmann, Crystal Kemp, Brandi Harriman, James Holsten, Tyler Allen, Brandon Holsten, and Ashley HolstenBrother Richard Holsten and Sister Kathy Holsten 9 grandchildren: Xander, Zac, Daniel, Eli, Noah, Zane, Lincoln, Ezra, and LeahEven though we can't physically be with him, we gained the best guardian angel God could bless us with. Jim, thank you for your love and all the beautiful memories you gave to us. In lieu of flowers An account has been set up for Jim's youngest daughter, Ashley who is a sophomore at Palm Harbor University in the Bio Medical Program. All funds would be used for future school expenses.
