Janice Rae Anderson Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Janice Rae Anderson, of Clearwater, born on September 30, 1933, passed away on May 28, 2012. Janice was born in Aurora, Illinois and relocated to southwest Florida in 1962 and later to central Florida. She has taught and owned dance studios with her late husband, Chuck, and loved ballroom dancing. She enjoyed traveling and was able to do so extensively in her role as a travel agent and tour guide. She was an active member of Christ The Lord Lutheran Church and the Banner Committee, using her sewing and quilting talents in which she was so skilled. She was a member of the Quilter's Crossing of Palm Harbor since 2001 and formed many friendships with other quilters. A wonderful mother, grandmother and friend to all who knew her, she was very generous to her children and grandchildren. She loved caring for animals and had many small dogs as part of her family throughout her life.She will be greatly missed by her four surviving children, Cindi Anderson, Linda Babbs, Gary Brading, Juli Mijares and her seven grandchildren, Lesa Vander Werff, Kristin Hunter, Garrett Babbs, Nathan Brading, Ryan Mijares, Michael Mijares and Maile Mijares, as well as her cousins, Dick and Darlene Larson of Geneva, Illinois.She has requested a private service to be held at her beloved Christ the Lord Lutheran Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to her church at 2045 N. Hercules Avenue, Clearwater, FL 33763.
