Jeanette Read Hoagland

May 15, 1925 - October 14, 2019

Jeanette Read Hoagland passed away on October 14, 2019 in Clearwater, FL following a lengthy illness.  She was born May 15, 1925 in Mukwonago, WI, spending her adolescent years in Lily, WI.  She was the 2nd child of five born to William and Alice Koch.  She met her husband, Milton Read, while working as a bookkeeper for the Wisconsin Power and Light in Janesville.  They married and had 2 children and 2 stepchildren.  She was a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, loved to bowl, golf, play bridge, and a huge sports enthusiast, loving the Packers, Rays, and Gators.  She moved to Seminole, FL in 1971, working in real estate, banking, and office management.  She was an active member of Christ the King Church, and her faith and family were the most important things in her life.  Milton died in 1976, and she later married Harrison Hoagland, who died in 1999.  She is survived by son, Thomas Read (Melissa) and daughter, Patricia Ozment (Brian), Gerald Hoagland, and Lynne Secrest, 9 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.  Graveside service to be held at Serenity Gardens Memorial Park, Largo, FL on Tuesday, 10/22/19 at 11:00 am.
