Julie A. Anderson Julie A. Anderson, 73, passed away in Clearwater on August 10, 2014. She was born in Bellefonte, Pennsylvania on October 4, 1940. Julie was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel and Alice Rhinesmith (nee Waite) and is survived by her siblings, Samuel D. Rhinesmith, Alice Ann (Patricia) Rhinesmith, SP, Nancy Fairbanks and Alice Fannon. Her sister Jane Worner and brother Robert preceded her death.Julie married Francis (Frank) J. Cardis Sr. in 1965 in Indianapolis. They had four children, Mary Alice Clevenger (Neal), Francis (Frank) J. Cardis, Jr. (Linda McGhee), Julia A. Cardis (Todd Wegter), and Richard J. Cardis (Julie Toole). Frank preceded her in death in 1987, and Julie later married Robert Anderson in 1993. He passed away in 1998.Julie was a proud and loving grandmother to Christopher, Jacob, Nathan, Ana, Lola and Leo and aunt to dozens of nieces and nephews.Julie moved to Largo in 1990, and worked at the Head Start Association before retiring. She was an auxiliary member of the Madeira Beach American Legion Auxiliary and Largo Elks Lodge 2159, and a volunteer for Suncoast Hospice. She was also a member of Tommy Duff's Irish Aviation Pub, Squadron 1-4-0. Julie loved Notre Dame football and music--big band, marching band, drum and bugle corps. She was an avid fan of Frank Sinatra. A graveside memorial service will be held at Holy Cross-St. Joseph Cemetery on October 4 at 11:00 a.m. in Indianapolis. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the Suncoast Hospice Foundation at 5771 Roosevelt Boulevard, Clearwater, Florida 33760.
