Larry F Beach Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

CLEARWATER, FL. - Larry Beach, 68, of Clearwater, Fl., and formerly of Lake Luzerne, N.Y., crossed over the Rainbow Bridge, at least that's the path he would've chosen, on Tuesday, April 6, 2021 after really committing to his final April Fool's Day prank at his residence. Larry was born on Dec. 18, 1952, in Corinth, N.Y., and attended Hadley-Luzerne Central School. After he decided school wasn't for him, or maybe vice-versa, he worked at the Painted Pony Ranch, where he met the woman who was always on his mind, Sandra Stubbs. Much to the delight of her "big city" parents, Larry used the allure of his surname to convince Sandra to take his hand in marriage and together Larry and Sandy Beach welcomed a daughter, Michelle, into this world. Larry is survived by his loving wife Sandy and his favorite daughter, Michelle Winslow, of whom he is extremely proud. Larry and Sandy moved to Florida in 2013 to be near Michelle and her husband Adam, the greatest son-in-law and obituary author of all-time. Larry, who even sometimes to his own peril never met a dog he didn't like, also is survived by his canine shadow, Libby. Larry's survivors also include four siblings, Randy Beach (Tonya) of Corinth, Lee Beach (Barbara Miller) of Louisiana, Penny Beach (Monte Askins) of Lake Luzerne, and Lynn Gebo (Stanley) of Lake Luzerne, along with many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents and his sister, Wanda, and a special brother-in-law, David Stubbs. With the loss of David and Larry, the family takes comfort knowing they can never be prosecuted for a minor string of M-80 mailbox "bombings" from the 80s in retaliation for perceived slights visited upon "the family." Larry also is reuniting with all the dogs who've predeceased him, including Brutus, Choo-Choo, Cindy Lou, Taylor, Sammi, Sydney, Buster and Landry. But really, he would like to be with ALL the dogs. In addition to his love of animals, Larry enjoyed drinking Pepsi, doing jigsaw puzzles and watching daytime soap operas (but don't tell the guys about that). He also was fond of growing things in pots and sentences where words can be flipped to change the meaning. Larry despised losing at pool and cards, but fortunately was very good at both. However, he would occasionally throw a game when he needed a smoke break. Larry especially loved all things poker, and really enjoyed going on a World Poker Tour cruise, where he got to meet WPT celebrities, including the late Mike Sexton. The family takes comfort in the assumption that from now on all his cards will be live and all his pots will be monsters. In lieu of flowers you weren't going to send anyway, the family just wishes for you to do something kind for a dog or person in need. There will be no formal services, but the family encourages everyone to celebrate Larry's life at 4:20 p.m. on April 20. Larry would like that!
