Maryanna Pleso

September 6, 1932 - September 3, 2016

Maryanna Pleso passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 3, 2016 in the presence of her family. She was born on September 6, 1932 in Niles, Ohio and moved to Dunedin, FL in the late 1950s. She worked for Dr. Hepburn as a dental assistant in the early sixties. In 1967, she started with Mease Hospital in the Medical Records Department and later transitioned to the clerical section of the office of Dr. Jones, and enjoyed that job for about 20 years. Maryanna is remembered most for her laughter and positive attitude. Her greatest joy was her family. She is survived by two sisters, Katie Parise of Youngstown, Ohio and Rose Pasha of Warren, Ohio; her four children, Jim Pleso of Crossville, TN; Diane Sewell of Safety Harbor, FL; Dan Pleso of Cordova, TN; and Melanie Rossi of Clearwater, FL; six grandchildren, Jeremy Pleso, Drew Sewell, Kristin Recore, Ryan Pleso, Brittany Anderson and Amanda Sewell; and seven great-grandchildren, Madison Recore, Ashton Recore, Carson Recore, Kensington Recore, Jackson Anderson, Logan Pleso and Haisley Evans. She was preceded in death by her birth parents, Joseph and Frances Pasha; her adoptive parents, Marcus and Lenora Post; four brothers; one sister and one grandchild.A celebration of life will be held Friday, September 9, 2016 at the St. Matthias Lutheran Church located at 2751 Sunset Point Rd, Clearwater, FL 33759 from 4-7pm with a service at 5:30 pm. Flowers can be sent to the funeral home at Sunset Funeral Home at 2689 Sunset Point Rd, Clearwater, FL 33759 which will be delivered to the church for the service.
