Mr. Michael Gilpin, 73, of Clearwater, passed away on December 22, 2014. Originally from Philadelphia, Mr. Gilpin came to Florida in 1979 from New Jersey. He was a Veteran of the United States Army.Survived by his loving wife Lynne, sons; Tom, David and Jonathan Daughter, Rebekah Kershaw; 3 brothers; Edward, Robert and Richard and 4 grandchildren.Graveside Service will be held on December 31, 2014 at 12:45 pm, Bay Pines National Cemetery.______________________________________________________________________His room is as it used to be before he went awayThe walls have treasures posted that were hung seems yesterdayThe pictures of his golfing friends still hold their special spotHis dreams of hitting long drive balls are in the past, no longer thoughtThe golf clubs are in the corner stand shoes and hats stacked in a rowAt the end of his bed the cat lay quietly wondering where did her master go?The place he sat to watch TV is gently worn, his comfort is left behindHis food channel shows are in the past creative recipes no more to findThe music and his car still plays as if it were still thereHe drove and sang to Sinatra tunes with his own words...He didn't careThe stories he told are cherished now all memories from his pastThe history of him left in our hearts gifts of love that will lastThe days go by without him there we wish that he'd returnHis life had meaning from beginning to end his lessons for us to learn
