Monica McClure Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Monica Elanora McClure was born on September 2, 1967, in Chicago, I'll. Born to parents Maude and Andrew McClure, who are both deceased.Monica, who likes to be called Mo, leaves to mourn two sisters, Muriel Patton (husband James Patton), Mary Plunkett (husband Cornelius Plunkett),and a brother Michael Williams. Also left to mourn is sister like cousin Michelle Hunter and her son Marcus Hunter. They were everyday running partnerslooking out for each other. She also leaves behind an aunt and uncle, Eva Neil and George Hunter. Two nephews, which she help raise, Marlon and MauriceBlacher and two nieces, Maria and Melody Plunkett. Family members Mama Markie Lynch, Pamela Lynch and Gussie Calhoun are also mourning. Monica lived a full but short life. She did what she wanted most of the time. Mo really enjoyed most of her life. She tried to show a ruff exterior but she was a very loving and kind hearted person. A big teddy bear always trying to help someone. She quoted Psalms 22 as her favorite bible verse but was a big fan of Psalms 27. The Lord is my light and my salvation, whom shall I fear. Mo struggled with a few demons but she was well aware of Gods grace and mercy. She always had a message from God for you. Mo was a very talented and lucky person. Monica spent most of her life in Chicago, graduated high school and a short time in the service. She was also very protective of her family. God called her home on October 18, 2013. Monica was and is loved and will be greatly missed. Celebration of her life will be held Monday Oct. 28 at 3PM inSunset Point Funeral Home.
