March 20, 1950 - February 6, 2018
Pamela Jean Brewer, March 20, 1950 - February 6, 2018, 67 of East Millinocket, Maine and Clearwater, FL, passed away February 6, 2018. Pamela Jean Brewer received a calling from the Lord on February 6th at 4:45 in the early evening. She spent her last days and hours being serenaded by her loved ones and listening to her own sweet voice singing Pennies from Heaven, calming the room quietly in the background. Born in East Millinocket, Maine on March 20th, 1950, Pam was the second daughter of Glenwood and Fedelma (Clark) Brewer. Pam was a 1969 graduate of Schenck High School where she was a member of the school band/chorus. Pam led the Big Green Wolverine band in song with her beautiful voice. She met the love of her life, future husband and father of her four children, Charles Fling in the summer of 1966. Upon their high school graduation, they married and soon started a family. As many young families did during that time, Charlie went to work for the local Paper Co. while Pam worked diligently and with utmost happiness raising her babies and caring for her husband. These early years were filled with the simplicities that mold a family. She enjoyed her daily lunch deliveries to Charlie at the mill. With her children in tow, they would walk to the foot bridge, where they would meet to catch a sweet moment together each day. They enjoyed camping at Omaha beach, JoMary lake, Abol campground and of course feeding the bears at the old Abol dump. Though the pressures that life would bring were too much for their marriage to endure, their love for each other was always treasured through their years apart. Pam worked in private health care in her later years, bringing security and love to the families that she helped. In 2012, Pam finally escaped the cold Maine winters and relocated to Clearwater, Florida with her fiancé Herschel Albert (Al). Pam was happy to be back with her siblings and partners in crime. Pam touched the lives of many with her desire to help those in need. No matter the size of her own fortune, it brought her much happiness to give and do whatever she could to lighten the load or mend the hearts of any struggling soul that crossed her path throughout her journey. Gardening was her quietude where she would attempt to grow whatever she could. She would paint the rocks surrounding her gardens with her own eccentric style, decorating anything and everything that got in her way. She was always sharing her beautiful voice (of which her grandchildren are forever indebted to her for) with any man, plant or animal that happened to be within earshot. She also loved doting on her children no matter their age, teaching her grandchildren how to knit and crochet (of which Jordan and Dylan mastered the art), keeping things clean and tidy, passionately hunting for anything related to an estate or yard sale where her "pieces" and discoveries were as eclectic and unique as she. Her most beloved passion was spending time with her family and making lasting memories. Pam is survived by her fiancé Hershel Albert (Al). Al was a blessing to her, and the love that they had for each other was beautiful; children Jodi L Davis, Dawn M Noto and husband, David Noto, Cory L Fling, Charles W Fling Jr. and special ladies Darlene Fling and Alyson Langen; and grandchildren, Jordan, Dylan, and Madison Davis, Kennedy Corsa, Drew Fling, Taylor and Julia DiFrederico, Alivia Noto Wing, Miley Hines; and siblings, Michelle Brewer, Kelly Brewer Plevyak and husband Jeferey Plevyak, Lynne Brewer Haseltine (predeceased), Wayne Brewer and Terry Brewer and many special nieces and nephews that she so adored. A special great nephew Chance Ryan Brewer. Pam has requested that her family not remember her through a traditional Funeral, but rather plan a party in which to celebrate her life. A party overflowing with music, love, laughter and stories of the ways in which she touched all of our lives. So that we will do, and be certain that she will join us from the heavens as she was never one to miss a party, especially one with her crazy family. The Family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Largo Medical Center and Suncoast Hospice Care Center Pinellas Park, Florida for their loving care, kindness and compassion.
