Rose Marie Regina Rogari

March 18, 1935 - September 18, 2017

Rose Marie Rogari, 82, passed away September 18, 2017 in Largo, Florida. She was predeceased by her husband of 57 years, Ralph Rogari, in 2014.  All who knew Rose will miss her sparkling blue eyes, big smile and wonderful laugh. Born March 18, 1935, and the youngest of Joseph and Helen Woyshner's nine children, Rose graduated from Dunmore High School and then entered Scranton State Hospital nursing school, receiving her cap in 1955. Wanting to see the world, Rose began her nursing career in New York City before enlisting in the United States Air Force. She was stationed at Sheppard Air Force Base in Texas, from which she was honorably discharged a 1st lieutenant in 1958. "Rosie" married her "Ralphie" at St. Casimer's Church in Dunmore on July 27, 1957. The couple settled in Hanover, where they raised three children  - Ralph Jr., Karen and Ron. Rose was a multi-tasker before the word made it into Webster's. While raising her family (along with a continuous flow of cats), she spent more than two decades working as a nurse/administrator in the Adams County migrant worker clinics. She also returned to school, earning a degree from Messiah College. Rose loved traveling with family and friends, but found much peace and happiness working in her garden.  The family home on McKinley Ave was her showcase:  a dazzlingly array of colorful and fragrant plants, berries, trees, flowers and fish ponds. Somehow, Rose also found time to become a master gardener and volunteered numerous hours educating the gardening public in York and Adams counties. Rose and Ralph left Hanover in 2003, moving to Safety Harbor, Florida to be closer to their kids. A service will be held at the Espiritu Santo Catholic Church, 2405 Philippe Pkwy, Safety Harbor, Florida on October 7, 2017 at 11:00 a.m.  A celebration of  Rose's life will follow at her daughter's home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests you donate to your favorite charity.
