CAROL LOU CURTIS
Curtis, Carol Lou “Go-Mom”, 90, passed away in Largo, Florida, June 11, 2020. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 58 years, Donald, and her son, Craig. Survivors include her daughters, Christie Ellwood, Cherie Dantzscher, and Denise Holmes; sons-in-law, Bruce Ellwood, Steve Dantzscher, and Kenneth Holmes, Jr.; her grandchildren, Anjanette Ellwood, Nicole Mahaney, Shawn Curtis, Katrina Curtis, Aaron Holmes, Dawn Holmes, and Daniel Holmes; her great grandchildren, Sarah St. Charles, Austin Curtis, Kali Curtis, Madyson Mahaney, Jaymes Mahaney, Liam Holmes and Cruz Holmes. Carol was an accomplished classical pianist, concert flutist, as well as a hobby organist, homemaker, seamstress, cake decorator, and orchid grower. Carol grew up in Battle Creek, Michigan, where she met and married her high school sweetheart, Don. They raised four children moving between Michigan, California, and Florida. Carol has lived in Florida since 1970 with her family. After raising her family, she did various temp. jobs until retiring. Thereafter, she enjoyed her friends and social activities where she lived at Heritage Presbyterian Apartments.
